As an alternative I've thought about the 3.0 TDI as these seem more common, again any guidance with these would help. The3.0 Tdi in B8 guise is a great engine, simple remap gets you to 300bhp , a few suspension tweaks with a thicker rear ARB and a strut brace on the front helps the handling. @bobby singh is running his 3.0 Tdi auto at 440bhp and 900Nm and it seems to be handling that so the Tiptronic used in these appears to be a strong box.
