The upgrade went fine aside from the fact that it took 2 hours to do it. This netbook originally came with XP but I had upgraded it to Win 7 Pro 32 quite a few years ago.

Created on August 3, 2015. i have clicked the notification on my acer aspire 5349 to do the windows 10 update/install. since doing this my laptop keeps rebooting with the windows logo coloured blue and a circle of flashing dots (as if it's loading) my laptop has been doing this since 14:30 and the time now is 22:37. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, or until your system shuts completely down. Power on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press F2 for notebooks or Delete for desktops to enter the BIOS. Press F9 and then Enter to load the default configuration. Press F10 and then Enter to save and exit.

From the stick i can run the 32 bit version, but the 64 bit stucks. When i try the setup.exe from the x64 folder it says something like 'windows can't execute this program, contact systemadministrator'. The setup.exe from the x86 folder works fine. When i try to run it at boot it says that the processor doesn't support 64 bit.

October 2017. Aspire V5-122P users, I have two of these that were so slow we couldn't even boot them up. I just let them sit around the house until last week when I noted the newer Win10 and Bios upgrade threads. Both had 2.04 Bios and the same issues everyone noted: 99% CPU usage constantly. One came wiht Win8 adn the other wiht 8.1.

I am thinking of upgrading to Windows 10 while Microsoft has the free update peroid running and I am already aware that this model is not officially supported by Acer in the Windows 10
