From the stick i can run the 32 bit version, but the 64 bit stucks. When i try the setup.exe from the x64 folder it says something like 'windows can't execute this program, contact systemadministrator'. The setup.exe from the x86 folder works fine. When i try to run it at boot it says that the processor doesn't support 64 bit.
Answers. Everything I see says the P55 chipset is compatible with Windows 10, but it may not be compatible with all versions of Windows 10. They seem to have dropped video support on some of the embedded graphics with the last release or two. Aspire V5-122P users, I have two of these that were so slow we couldn't even boot them up. I just let them sit around the house until last week when I noted the newer Win10 and Bios upgrade threads. Both had 2.04 Bios and the same issues everyone noted: 99% CPU usage constantly. One came wiht Win8 adn the other wiht 8.1.
November 2015. Hi there everybody, I hope you are doing well. I have an Acer Aspire V3-551 running 64-Bit Windows 7 Home Premium that I bought in October 2012. I am thinking of upgrading to Windows 10 while Microsoft has the free update peroid running and I am already aware that this model is not officially supported by Acer in the Windows 10
