I replaced my intake camshaft sensor on my 1997 528i but I don't see a part number for the exhaust camshaft sensor. Do the earlier e39's only have the one sensor? My car still stumbles though the pick up has improved since changing the sensor. I also have a code for 0505 which may be causing the stumbling of the engine.
Address the problem. Once you fix the problems, reconnect the BMW scanner and clear the fault codes. Drive your BMW for a few minutes to see if the DSC light will return. DSC light is generally triggered as soon as you start to drive, especially if there is a problem with the ABS [1] pump or the wheel speed sensors.

The general silver on BMW alloys is "Reflex Silver" (Colour Code: A44/BMW WA44 MET). A lot of dealers actually spray the alloys with Titanium Silver as it's a cheaper paint. From my research, this would indicate a problem with the actuator that is located above the blower motor/internal cabin filter unit. I have a diagram that helps with the location, but I was wondering if anyone has a DIY for replacing this. I am not sure how much I need to remove to get to this part (964119321034). If you diagnosis actually looked at fault codes for all modules, including the buss network then it is strange there are no codes. A replacement LCM does have to be coded to your specific car and must also be of the correct version. Jim Cash. 102929 , Sep 29, 2009.
